Face masks are back!

Thank you for your continued support this term. We understand the continued interruptions to coaching and office staff have been frustrating for families, but with Covid on top of Cold and Flu season, it looks like this may continue for some time. We want to do everything we can to minimize our staff getting sick and having to cancel your child's classes.

To help with this ask that you please KEEP SICK KIDS HOME and if anyone in the household has covid STAY AWAY FROM THE GYM.

The government has recently changed its advice regadring facemaskes to:

All Victorians are now encouraged to wear a mask when with other people indoors and when you cannot physically distance, outdoors.

What does this mean at EKGA:

Staff will continue to wear face masks

**If you have a child with a hearing impairment please let us know ASAP so we can arrange a transparent face shield for the coach

Parents / Spectators

Given that it is not possible for parents to adequately physically distance in the waiting area or whilst assisting with Kinder Gym / Playnastics we now require that you WEAR A FACEMASK anytime you come inside EKGA. At this time we will continue to allow spectators inside, however this may change and the number permitted may be reduced.

Spare facemasks will be provided at the door if you forget.

Gymnasts aged 8 and above are strongly encouraged to wear a face mask. Younger gymnasts are encouraged to do so, only if they can do so safely. At this point, it is not compulsory, but given the number of children from different schools mixing together, standing in lines and being “spotted” by coaches it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that masks are worn except when physically distanced and physically exerting themselves.

Spare masks will be provided at the door if they forget.

**Changes to pandemic orders came into effect at 11.59pm Tuesday 12 July, 2022.
